Newborn Baby Photography

The ideal time to have baby's first professional portrait taken, is at around 7-10 days old. Nine months in the womb can often cause wrinkles and dry patches, but after around a week, baby's skin will be glowing, and they'll feel more relaxed and used to being in 'the outside world' - all ready for their close-up!

Newborn photography sessions usually involve a nude baby (don't worry, the studio will be nice and warm!), soft blankets and a loving family.  Of course if you want to dress your baby in a particular outfit, or include a special toy, we can incorporate these too - it's your shoot and you should feel free to personalise it as you wish.  Also, we know that baby's have their own schedule - often awake when you'd like them to sleep and vice versa!  This isn't a problem for a newborn shoot - whether baby is awake or snoozing, these early photos shouldn't be missed and will be cherished forever.  (There will be plenty of opportunities in the future to show the camera their best wide awake smile!)

Let us capture those precious milestones with our 'grow with me' package that offers great savings on our baby photography sessions and prints. The 'grow with me' sessions include three baby portrait sessions over the course of your babies first year and one 5x5" photograph from each presented in a luxury leather folio - the perfect way to capture your baby's milestones! These sessions are typically done at

• Session 1: 0-3 months (the sooner the better)
• Session 2: 4-7 months (when your baby is sitting unaided) and
• Session 3: 7-12 months (when your baby can stand unaided)

Sessions 1 & 2 are usually done in the studio and session 3 can be a lifestyle session at any local location of your choice and as always, each baby portrait can be personalised with your own props and ideas.
