Promo Events In Manchester
A few weekends ago our nights were full of alcohol fuelled promo events to photograph. To launch the new Smirnoff Electric and David Beckham’s new whiskey Haig Club, both events were hosted by Get Elastic drinks promotion company. They spread the promo events across three different locations – Manchester’s quirky night life central, the Northern Quarter, the bustling town of Warrington and the historic market town of Ormskirk.
Smirnoff Electric
The promo event for Smirnoff Electric saw staff handing out flavoured shots of berry and mandarin, the crowd lapped them up lining up some popping candy on their hands (like you normally do with salt for tequila shots) to feel the ‘electric’. Promoted as a ‘chilled shot’ because of its low percentage and fruity kick, Smirnoff’s aim is to bring people together and ‘give everyones taste buds a jolt’. They’ve launched the spirit along with a global music collaboration with famous artists Keisza and Djenga Djenga, in many countries across the world- Australia, Mexico, Canada, Europe, Kenya and Jamaica.
Smirnoff Electric is aimed towards a party crowd like students and regular weekend party goers. Smirnoff want to bring the level of fun up with their full flavour full party attitude. This certainly comes across on the camera, check out all of the fun in our promo events photography.
Haig Club Whiskey
The Haig Club is more for your dinner parties and slow drinking situations, it’s a single grain scotch whiskey, owned by David Beckham and produced in a distillery in Scotland. Aimed at people who are still warming to the tastes of whiskey, it’s lighter on the palette.
These promo events were held at the Hold Fast in Manchester’s fashionable Northern Quarter and Mud Grab bar in the quintessentially classy Didsbury. Customers could take advantage of free samples of the whiskey handed out by the lovely ladies in dresses. They served it up with ice, Fever Tree ginger ale and a decent slice of orange..Yum!
We absolutely love shooting events! There’s nothing else we’d rather be doing. It can be a serious challenge to keep the creative ideas flowing but with a little forward planning and imagination, anything is possible! If you have a photography project you’d like to talk to us about or you’d like to book us for your event-
