We were absolutely thrilled to be part of Shelter’s Manchester Urban Rush charity run in Manchester City Centre. It’s not often that such a large number of people gather to do something exceptional for charity, and when they told us they wanted event photography in Manchester, it was clear that we were going along!

If you haven’t heard of Shelter or it’s running scheme, here’s the low-down: Shelter are a charity who provide shelter for the UK’s homeless population, that is sadly on the rise. There has been a sharp growth in the number of homeless people living on Manchester’s streets in the past few years. Right now, 1 in 154 people in our great city are homeless.

Shelter offers free advice and support to anyone who faces a bad housing situation or homelessness across the UK, and support helps them to make sure that no one is fighting homelessness alone.

Naturally, when they approached us for event photography in Manchester to cover their Manchester Urban Rush event, we were more than happy to pick up our cameras, lenses and tripods and head into the city. Here are a collection of our favourite images from the event.
